The Honorable Ernie Lee Magaha, Clerk of the Circuit Court, in accordance with Florida Statute 28.12, is the clerk and accountant of the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
As Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, his Clerk to the Board office is the official record depository for the BCC. The office is responsible for: attendance at BCC meetings; transcription of the minutes; maintenance of permanent records associated with the BCC; and keeping BCC-approved Resolutions, Ordinances, contracts and agreements. The Clerk to the Board office also functions as Clerk to the BCC appointed Value Adjustment Board.

RESUMES
The "Resume" document is a summary report which shows recommendations presented to the Board of County Commissioners ( BoCC ) on the agenda and various Reports; i.e., Clerk's Report, Growth Management Report, County Administrator's Report, County Attorney's Report, etc..., in the order presented on the agenda cover sheet, with the BoCC's action noted below each recommendation; e.g. "Approved 5-0 or Approved 4-1, with Commissioner ? voting "no"". The Resume document does not include motions and votes, no speakers are listed, and the document is finalized and distributed the first working day following the Board Meeting.
MINUTES
The "Minutes" document is a report which includes titles for, and records the motions and votes depicting the BoCC's final action on, all recommendations presented for BoCC action; e.g., "Motion made by Commissioner ?, seconded by Commissioner ?, and carried unanimously, approving..." The Minutes document presents each item in the order in which it was addressed by the BoCC and lists any public speakers under the corresponding item(s). The final Minutes document is presented for BoCC approval at the next regularly scheduled Meeting and is available for public access via the Clerk's website after BoCC approval.

How many meetings are held each month by the Board of County Commissioners?
Generally, two Regular Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month at 5:30 P.M. The Public Forum portion of the meeting begins at 4:30 P.M., prior to the start of the Regular Meeting. Special Meetings may be scheduled to handle specific topics. The meeting schedule is published in the Pensacola News Journal every Sunday. Board Meetings are usually televised "live" on Cox Cable Channel 4, and on Brighthouse Channel 4.
Can I watch the Board Meetings from my PC?
Possibly. During the actual meeting, the B.C.C. meetings are broadcast from here and can be watched using RealPlayer.

How soon after Board Meetings are the Minutes available?
Usually after the approval at the succeeding BoCC Meeting for the Minutes and by Friday p.m. following the BoCC Meeting for the Resume (Report of actions taken by the Board).

Yes. The Board Minutes are available online here.
Are audio and video tapes of the Board Meetings available?
Audio tapes and CDs are available at $8.00 for the first 90-minute tape or CD and $2.00 for each additional 90-minute tape or CD. The Meetings are videotaped by BLAB TV. However, copies of those video tapes are not available from the Clerk's Office. Please contact BLAB TV for video copies.
Are the Minutes indexed for retrieval by the public?
Yes. The indexing is
online from July, 1984, through May, 1997, with references to microfilm. From June, 1997, to present date, the indexing is integrated with an imaging system allowing viewing of the Minutes and Exhibits on the computer with microfilm as a permanent record backup. The Minutes between 1868 and part of 1887 are available in ledger books and microfilm, however, they are not indexed.
